The blog has been written for a year without realizing it.
Try to review the past year, as Ray Dalio said:
"Most things in life are just 'replays of similar situations'."
We must learn from the past.
2020#
Health#
- Health is always the top priority. In mid-January, I finally had the two steel plates removed from my body after three years. Looking back, it doesn't seem like a big deal, although it seemed very painful at the time 😅
- After returning to school during the pandemic, I intermittently ran in the school, and the longest run was eight kilometers without stopping 🏃
- I also bought a yoga mat to do push-ups, sit-ups, and squats.
Unfortunately, all of the above activities were stopped with the arrival of the exam month and the cooling weather 🐷
Code#
- I continued to learn Vue and mini programs, and I also learned a little bit of Node.js, but I'm not an expert in any of them.
- Recently, I bought a book called "JavaScript: The Definitive Guide" and hope to finish reading it during this holiday.
- I also tried to use what I learned to code some small things, which brought me a sense of accomplishment more than learning.
Learning requires concentration and solidification (although I'm still a beginner). 🎯
Devices#
- I bought an Anne Pro2 keyboard with tea axis, and the 60% layout + Bluetooth really made me experience the convenience and lightness of wireless.
- While the whole world was discussing "Animal Crossing: New Horizons," I just bought it and started playing with her.
- I personally replaced the battery and ribbon cable for my iPhone 5s with new parts, bringing back memories of high school.
Daily Life#
Daily life is all about tinkering.
During the pandemic, I wanted to add more RAM to my computer and decided to change the thermal paste. However, I ended up stripping one of the screws, making it impossible to remove the fan.
To make matters worse, the power supply of the computer also broke... so I bought a new one and replaced it myself.
Recently, during the exam period, my computer was very slow to boot up and read data from the mechanical hard drive, and it even froze... After reinstalling the system and various operations, I found out that my mechanical hard drive was broken. So I removed it and bought a solid-state drive online. I also had a sudden urge to install Ubuntu on my computer, but I couldn't get used to it, so I switched back to Windows after a day.
This computer has gone through Windows -> macOS -> Windows -> Ubuntu -> Windows. I've really tried them all.
2021#
Travel#
Due to the pandemic and school closure, most of my travel plans for this year were canceled. I hope to travel more next year and broaden my horizons.
For someone like me who doesn't travel much, I won't even mention leaving the province. It would be great if I can explore all the interesting places in Guangzhou. 🤔
- Explore Guangzhou
Skills#
- Learn React
- Finish reading books like "JavaScript: The Definitive Guide" and "Node.js in Action"
- Create something new and contribute to open source projects
Health#
- Develop a habit of exercising
- Go to bed early!
Life#
- Cultivate a new skill or hobby
In conclusion#
Although 2020 was full of regrets, we should still be enthusiastic about life. Life is worth it, and the future is promising.
Regrets can be the prelude to surprises.
